What’s changing?
Our name and logo
Our new name is one you’ve probably already been using: HCM. Embracing a familiar name and pairing it with a new identity is as much about who we are as where we’re going. Our old name shaped our legacy for decades, and this evolution honors that foundation while presenting a clearer, more forward-looking version of ourselves.
Our new logo is the visual representation of collaboration. Two geometric forms—representing HCM and our clients—create something new in the space where they come together.

Our colors
Our new color palette is intentional and expressive. Trading in our long-time red for a fresh, vibrant green signals growth, clarity, and forward energy.
Our voice
Our new voice is clear, confident, and rooted in real-world insight. We want to communicate in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way. There’s a lot of jargon in the A/E/C industry, and we aim to keep things conversational and engaging. Our positioning statement—Listening Leads to Legacy—emphasizes our deep commitment to understanding, while our core message—Design for Real—expresses what sets us apart.

Our mission to create a better future through purposeful design solutions remains steadfast. It also serves as the guiding principle for our operations, defining our focus for both now and for the future. It reflects HCM’s collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, aiming for design excellence that exceeds client expectations by listening, advising, and working together in a respectful and environmentally conscious manner.
Our people are still the “secret sauce” that sets us apart. We genuinely believe that great design begins with great people, and we care deeply about the work we do together. Our team is creative, entrepreneurial, responsible, sensitive, and diverse. Together, our talents combine to create a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
